Bernie Gladue is member of the Mistasiniy First Nations as well Sahtu Dene, which is located in Northern Alberta and the North West Territories. Bernie resides on the Tsuut’ina Nation with his wife.
Bernie studied the Electrical field at Northern Alberta Institute of technology back in 90’s. And has earned a license in his field. Over time he has found his passion in helping people through earning himself accreditation in Community Addictions Training.
Bernie currently works for Creation lodge, Creation lodge was created through a partnership of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary. Its mandate is to revitalize First Nations Laws through oral story teachings, and is a program created in collaboration of Indigenous partners between Nation and the urban center to increase access to cultural Creation stories to vulnerable populations. Through sharing the stories they teach morals, ethics and principles.
Bernie loves history and connecting all walks of life, He is also an apprentice Interpretive Guide, through Zucmin Guiding.
