Georgina Duke
Project Lead / Guide
Georgina is a student with Timberline Alpine Academy in Banff gaining skills to become a field guide. Originally from the UK, Georgina has spent the last 6 years exploring the backcountry in Chamonix, France, Norway and hiking Ireland and the Netherlands. This love of exploration and nature comes from studying Physical Geography at university and gaining a Masters in International Development. She has a specific interest in climate change and glaciology, and has worked closely with minority groups in Myanmar, learning about the Chin peoples traditions. This included studying how climate change has effected small agriculture communities in rural mountainous areas and finding ways to adapt in regards to farming traditions in each community.
